GREENSBURG, Pa. - The Seton Hill University field hockey team suffered a 6-0 loss to Millersville University Saturday morning at Dicks Sporting Goods Field on the campus of Seton Hill University.
The Griffins drop to 2-4 on the year while Millersville improves to 3-1. The game was not counted as a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference matchup.
The Marauders scored three goals in the first followed by three more in the second as Seton Hill struggled to muster up much on the offensive end. The Griffins, challenging the Millersville goalkeeper with just eight total shots in the game.
Molly Childress led the effort with five shots on the day.Â
For the game, Millersville outshot Seton Hill by a 23-8 margin (14-6 on goal). The Marauders held a 15-8 advantage in penalty corners.
Jane Eberhardt picked up the loss for the Griffins, spending the first 55:03 in goal while giving up six and saving six.
Elizabeth Armbruster enter in relief, saving two. Autumn Peters gets the win for Millersville, saving three shots while playing 44:50 in the net.
The Griffins return to action on Wednesday, September 20th when they travel to Slipper Rock University. That match is scheduled for a 7:00 PM start.
