Seton Hill won a hard fought match in five sets at Edinboro on Friday evening in the McComb Field House. After exchanging sets over the first four, the Griffins took the fifth set by a 15-7 score to win the match 3-2. SHU improves to 11-3 overall and 4-1 in PSAC play while the Scots fall to 12-4 overall and 2-3 in PSAC action.
After leading 13-11 in the first set, the Griffins won twelve of the final seventeen points in the first set to take a 1-0 lead over Edinboro. The Griffins held a 22-19 lead in the second set, but saw the Scots run off four straight points to take a 23-22 lead. SHU responded with three of the next four points to get a set point at 25-24 but the Scots scored the final three of the set to tie the match at one with a 27-25 win.
The Griffins jumped out to 6-1 and 10-4 leads in the third set. Edinboro would get no closer that two points the rest of the set and the Griffins took a 2-1 lead with a 25-18 third set win. After leading 2-1 in the fourth set, it was all Fighting Scots as they tied the match at two with a 25-18 fourth set win.

Leah Bisignani and one from
Maggie Murray gave SHU an early 3-1 lead in the fifth set. Another kill from Bisignani and one from
Erin Parks extended the Griffins lead to 6-2. The Scots fought back to 8-6 before the Griffins went on a 6-0 run to put the match away.
Hannah Moeller started off the run with two aces. SHU also got kills from
Jillian Livorse, Murray and
Katie Wenson.
Bisignani led the Griffins with 18 kills.
Viktoria Farian added 14 kills. Parks also reached double figures with 11. Murray paced the offense with 31 assists.
Mary Baich had a match high 34 digs. Farian had 10 digs for a double double.
The Griffins will continue their road trip on Saturday when they take on Slippery Rock at 1 PM.
