Griffins Drop Heartbreaker In OT At Gannon

ERIE, PA -  Henrik Berg scored in the third consecutive game, but it was Gannon University scoring the game-winning goal in the first minute of overtime as the Griffins fell to the Golden Knights, 2-1, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference men's soccer action on the campus of Gannon University.

Seton Hill evens their record at 5-5-1, 2-3-0 in the conference. Gannon improves to 6-4-1 overall, including 5-0-1 in PSAC play.

Gannon's Mathias Krigbaum scored in the 32nd minute to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. Early in the second half, Henrik Berg scored his 8th goal of the season in the 54th minute off of a Louis Mason assist to tie the game up at 1-1-1 and the two defenses clamped down to force overtime. In the overtime, however, the Golden Knights wasted no time as Baran Killic scored just before the second minute to win the match, 2-1.

For the match, Gannon outshot Seton Hill, 16-8 (7-1 on goal).  The Griffins held a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks. Seton Hill goalkeeper Austin Iddon had five saves in the loss.

Seton Hill will travel to Lock Haven University on Saturday, October 7th. That match is scheduled for a 3:30 PM start.
