JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - The Seton Hill University women's volleyball team fell in five sets to the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown (25-21, 26-24, 17-25, 22-25, 12-15) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference volleyball action on Saturday afternoon in Johnstown, Pa.
With the loss, Seton Hill slips to 18-5 overall and 10-3 in the PSAC. UPJ improves to 20-6 on the season, including a 10-3 mark in PSAC play.
Seton Hill would win the first two sets, 25-21 and 26-24, but the Mountain Cats would come back to win the next two, 25-17, 25-22, before winning the deciding set, 15-12.
For the match,
Leah Bisignani led the Griffins with 16 kills followed by 13 from
Katie Wenson and
Viktoria Farian.
Jillian Livorse had two aces while
Farian and
Bisignani having one apiece. Bisignani had led with a match-high six blocks. Wenson and
Erin Parks chipped in five each.
Mary Baich had 28 digs.
Maggie Murray had a match-high 47 assists.
Seton Hill will take most of the week off before taking on Millersville University in PSAC action on Friday, November 3rd at 7:00 PM inside the friendly confines of the McKenna Center. Seton Hill is 5-2 on the season when playing on their home court. The senior volleyball players will be recognized during that match.
