Seton Hill jumped out of conference play to head to Buckhannon, WV to take on old WVIAC foe WV Wesleyan on Wednesday afternoon. The Bobcats scored three times in the first half and added a fourth in the second half for a 4-0 win over the Griffins. SHU drops to 8-7-1 overall while WV Wesleyan improves to 8-5-2.
WV Wesleyan jumped out to a 1-0 lead just 3:26 into the first half. They then scored twice in less than a minute right before the halftime break to take a 3-0 lead into the halftime break. The Bobcats held a 13-1 advantage in shots in the half.
The Bobcats increased their lead to 4-0 with a goal in the 66th minute. WV Wesleyan held a 7-5 advantage in shots.
Jacin Smith made 3 saves in net for the Griffins.
SHU returns to PSAC play on Sunday when they host East Stroudsburg for Senior Day at 1 PM.
