Seton Hill made the most of it's fall break by taking a trip to the nation's capital on Monday and Tuesday. After sightseeing on Monday, the Griffins battled the University of District of Columbia on Tuesday afternoon. UDC scored twice in the second half in route to a 2-0 victory over the Griffins. SHU falls to 6-6-1 on the season while the Firebirds are 10-3 on the season.
Neither team scored in the first half as UDC held a 7-5 advantage in shots in the half.
Just over five minutes into the second half, the Firebirds got on the scoreboard on a penalty kick. With just under 17 minutes left in the half, UDC extended their lead to 2-0.
UDC held a 19-9 advantage in shots in the match while the Griffins held a 7-3 advantage in corners.
Jacin Smith recorded 7 saves in net in the loss.
The Griffins return to PSAC play on Friday as they host Bloomsburg at noon.
