Seton Hill headed north on Interstate 79 for a PSAC West battle in Erie against Gannon on Friday evening. SHU battled back from a 19 point deficit to force two overtimes but were outscored by ten in the second overtime period for an 83-73 loss. The Griffins drop to 6-6 overall and 3-5 in PSAC action.
SHU got off to a very slow start and did not hit their first basket until
Noah Davis hit a jumper with 11:43 to play in the half. Gannon scored the first twelve points of the contest. The Knights extended their lead to 24-9 at the 4:13 mark of the first half as SHU started the half just three of twenty from the floor. The teams played even the rest of the half with Gannon taking a 34-19 lead into the halftime break.
Noah Davis led the Griffins with 7 points.

Nathan Davis each scored 4 points. The Griffins shot just 29% from the floor in the half and were 1-8 from three point land. SHU committed nine turnovers in the half to just one for the Knights.
Gannon scored the first four points of the second half to take their largest lead of the game at 38-19. SHU then got five straight from
Damjan Sredanovic to cut the lead to 38-24 with 18:10 to play. The Knights led 47-32 with thirteen minutes to play before the Griffin went on a 12-0 run over a four minute stretch to trim the Knights lead to 47-44.

Trevor Lecuona each hit threes during the run. The Griffins took their first lead of the game after a three pointer from Lecuona and a basket from
Nathan Davis gave SHU a 55-54 lead with 3:52 to play.
Nathan Davis hit another jumper with 1:38 giving SHU a 61-59 lead but Gannon tied the game with 27 seconds to play sending the game into overtime.
SHU took the lead first in overtime on two free throws from Lecuona. Gannon battled back to take a 69-66 lead with 1:12 left in the first overtime period.
Nathan Davis tied the score at 69 with a three pointer with 8.7 seconds to play. Gannon missed two point blank shots at the buzzer to send the game into a second overtime period.
The Knights scored the first six points of the overtime period before
Brandon Alston's three point play cut the lead to 75-72 with 1:56 to play in the second overtime period. Gannon outscored the Griffins 8-1 over the final 1:56 for the ten point win.
Nathan Davis led the Griffins with 21 points.
Noah Davis was the other Griffin in double figures with 14 points.
Trevor Lecuona added 9 points.
SHU returns to action on Monday night when they travel to Clarion for another PSAC West contest.
