Seton Hill continued PSAC play on Friday with a trip east to Kutztown to take on the Golden Bears. The Griffins were able to run their win streak to three games with a sweep of the homestanding Bears. SHU improves to 11-4 overall and 3-0 in PSAC play. Kutztown drops to 3-11 overall and 0-3 in PSAC action.
The first set was a tough battle as the Griffins outlasted the Bears by a 27-25 margin. The last two sets were not as close as the Griffins were able to sweep the match. SHU took the second set by a 25-15 margin and closed out the match with a 25-13 win.
Cassie Hausfeld led the Griffins with 12 kills.
Katie Wenson also reached double figures with 10 kills.
Jillian Livorse and
Leah Bisignani each finished with 9 kills.
Taylor Sabol posted a match high 38 assists. Bisignani finished with 3 blocks.
Mary Baich finished with 13 digs while Sabol added 10.
SHU will continue play against the PSAC southeast on Saturday when they travel to East Stroudsburg.
