Seton Hill opened up the 2016 season with a road trip to Louisville, Kentucky for two games over the Labor Day weekend. SHU opened the weekend by taking on Bellarmine on Saturday morning. The Knights scored twice in the first half and added one second half goal for a 3-0 victory.
Bellarmine did not take long to take the lead in the game as they scored just 1:21 into the contest to take a 1-0 lead. The Knights increased their lead to 2-0 just before the halftime break with a goal with 3:48 to play in the half. Jade Eberhardt recorded 5 saves in cage in the first half.
The Griffins best shot at scoring came off a penalty corner early in the second half when Alisha Herman's shot was stopped by the Bellarmine keeper. Less than 10 minutes into the second half the Knights extended their lead to 3-0.
Eberhardt finished the game with 7 saves in cage.
SHU will continue their trip with a matchup with Lindenwood at Bellarmine on Sunday.
