Seton Hill traveled to Millersville for a PSAC field hockey matchup on a very hot and humid Saturday afternoon. The Marauders scored twice in the first half and added one more in the second half for a 3-0 victory. SHU falls to 0-4 on the season.
Millersville opened the scoring in the 11th minute of the contest as they took a 1-0 lead. The Marauders added a second goal less than three minutes later to increase their lead to 2-0 before the halftime break. Griffin keeper
Jane Eberhardt recorded 4 saves in the first half as the Griffins were outshot 8-1.
The Marauders added their final goal of the game in the 65th minute to increase their lead to 3-0. Eberhardt was spectacular in the second half as she made 11 saves while facing 22 shots.
Eberhardt finished the day with 15 saves.
Molly Childress had 2 shots for the Griffins.
SHU will play their home opener on Monday as they host Indiana (PA) at 4 PM.
