Seton Hill hosted Davis & Elkins in a non conference game on Wednesday afternoon. SHU played long ball, hitting five homers in route to a 14-0 victory. SHU is now 8-4 on the season.
SHU got on the board in the top of the first inning.
Garret Vrbanic led off with a single and stole second and third base. He then scored on a sacrifice fly from
Chris Miller.
The Griffins added on in the fifth. After an out,
Tyler Sullivan doubled. He scored on a Miller single.
Zac Heide followed with a single and
Anthony Fanelli drove in a run to make it 3-0.
Matt Malacane then scored two more runs with a single to increase the lead to 5-0.
Seton Hill played long ball in the seventh inning, hitting four home runs. Heide led off the inning with a solo homer. Malacane followed that with a two run shot.
Mark Colella also hit a two run shot and Miller closed out the scoring with a three run shot. Malacane continued the long balls with a solo shot in the bottom of the eighth.

Matt Malacane each had three hits in the win. Malacane drove in five in the win.
Chris Miller added two hits and 5 RBI.
Austin Sleek earned the win with a shutout inning of relief with one strikeout.
Garret Vrbanic also had a great day in the field with 0 errors in 13 chances at shortstop. He finished the game with 12 assists, which is tied for the fourth most assists in a game in Division II history.
SHU will host Coker in a three game set this weekend. The teams will play a single 9 inning game on Friday at 2:30 PM and then a doubleheader at 11 AM on Saturday.
