GREENSBURG, Pa. - The #15 Seton Hill University women's lacrosse team fell to #3 Lindenwood, 11-6, on Friday afternoon in non-conference action at Dick's Sporting Goods Field.
Seton Hill falls to 1-3 (0-0 PSAC) while Lindenwood improves to 6-0 (0-0 RMAC).
Morgan Judd led the Lions with a game-high five goals. Allison Hurley followed closely, scoring four goals herself and adding two assists. Sophie Buelow and Hannah Doughty had one goal apiece in the win. Delaney Solomon gave up six goals and grabbed seven saves in all 60:00 spent in the net.
Seton Hill's
Mackenzie Kilduff registered three goals for the Griffins.
Renee Kania came away with two, and
Savannah Monroe added one goal in the loss. Kania,
Alexis Petrarca, and
Emily Fagan all had assists in the game.
Meghan Hollar grabbed 10 saves in the net.
Lindenwood outshot Seton HIll by a 29-17 (21-13 on-goal) margin. SHU turned the ball over 21 times compared to 15 for the Lions. Lindenwood held an 18-17 advantage in ground balls.
Seton Hill will enter PSAC play when they travel to Erie, PA to take on Mercyhurst on Tuesday, March 15th. That game is schedueld to start at 4:00 PM.
