The women's tennis team opened their spring break trip with a pair of matches in Orlando on Sunday afternoon.  SHU dropped their first contest of the day to Davenport by the score of 8-1 and then were defeated by Division I Oakland University by the score of 9-0. 

The Griffin doubles team of Isidora Knezevic and Sara Ruiz were the only Griffins to earn a win against Davenport.  They earned a hard fought 9-8 (7-2) victory.  Madison Debone fell in three sets in singles by the scores of 6-3, 4-6, 11-9.  SHU failed to take a set from Division I Oakland in their second match of the day.

The team will continue their spring trip with a match with Florida Southern in Lakeland, FL on Monday.
