Seton Hill closed out its non Southwest Divisional portion of the schedule with a road contest at Millersville on Saturday afternoon. The Griffins were able to sweep the Marauders by a 3-0 score. SHU improves to 17-11 overall and 9-6 in PSAC action.
SHU opened the match with a 25-19 win. The Griffins built an early 8-4 lead. Millersville fought back to take a 14-12 lead. Late in the set, SHU went on a 6-0 run to take a 22-17 lead. Three kills from
Rachel Satira highlighted the run.
The second set was tight early until the Griffins went on a 7-1 run to take a 13-8 lead. The Marauders got to within two points twice in the set before SHU went on a 4-0 run to take a 22-16 lead and finished off the set with a kills from Satira,
Jillian Livorse and
Maggie Murray for a 25-17 win.
The Griffins took an early 9-4 lead in the third set. Millersville closed to within 10-9 but SHU went on a 7-0 run to take control of the match. SHU closed out the match with a 25-20 win.
Jillian Livorse and
Leah Bisignani each had 11 kills to lead the Griffins.
Rachel Satira added 8 kills and
Katie Wenson finished with 6.
Maggie Murray and
Jenna Sassack each finished with 5 kills. Murray led with 28 assists.
Mary Baich finished with 22 digs.
Hannah Moeller added 12 and Livorse finished with 11.
SHU will return to Southwest Divisional play on Tuesday when they travel to California for a 7 PM start.
