Seton Hill will close out play against the PSAC Central Division with a pair of games on the road this weekend. SHU opened the weekend with a Friday night match at Shippensburg. Shippensburg took all three sets to sweep the Griffins, 3-0. SHU drops to 16-11 overall and 8-6 in PSAC play while Ship improves to 23-5 overall and 10-5 in PSAC action.
The Raiders took the first set by a 25-23 score. Ship used a 13-4 run midway thru the set to take a 16-8 lead. SHU battled back to within 19-17 but Ship ran off four in a row to get to a 23-17 lead. The Griffins responded by scoring six of the next seven points to cut the lead to 24-23.
Leah Bisignani had two kills during the run. Ship then got a kill to end the set.
The second set was all Shippensburg as they won by a 25-11 score. SHU managed just two kills in the set and hit -.154.
Ship jumped out to an early 8-3 lead in the third set. SHU used a 5-0 run to get back within two at 19-17. The Raiders then scored five of the next six points to set up match point. SHU fought off four set points but finally dropped the set 25-22.
SHU will return to action on Saturday at 1 PM against Millersville.
