Seton Hill took a break from PSAC play on Monday afternoon with a non conference matchup in Shepherdstown, WV against the Rams. SHU scored twice in the first half and added a third goal in the second half for the 3-0 shutout win over Shepherd. SHU improved to 11-6 overall.
The Griffins opened the scoring in the 16th minute on a goal from
Louis Mason.
Curtis Gallagher assisted on the goal. Just over five minutes later the Griffins increased their lead to 2-0.
Rory McKinnon finished off a pass from
Harry Beattie. SHU took that 2-0 lead into the halftime break. The Griffins outshot Shepherd 11-3 in the first half.
Brendon Mendelson scored the lone second half goal in the 73rd minute.
Robbie Bailey recorded 3 saves in the second half.
Each team had 7 shots in the second half.
Jacin Smith and Bailey combined for the shutout in net.
SHU concludes the regular season on Saturday when they host West Chester at 3:30 PM.
