Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Winning Streak Ends at Four at Salem

Seton Hill took a break from conference play for a non conference matchup at Salem International on Monday afternoon.  SHU took a four game winning streak into Catalano Stadium but gave up two second half goals to end the winning streak following a 2-1 loss to the Tigers.  SHU falls to 8-5 while Salem improves to 3-6-1 on the season.

The first half did not see much offense as both teams were held scoreless with each team managing just 2 shots.  SHU held a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks in the half.

Curtis Gallagher got the Griffins on the scoreboard just over five minutes into the second half.  Tom Urquhart hit Gallagher with a pass across the box with Gallagher beating the SIU keeper to give the Griffins a 1-0 lead.  Salem tied the game at one in the 74th minute after a misplay by the keeper led to a goal.  The Tigers scored the game winning goal with just over eight minutes to play on a rebound shot.

SHU held an 11-8 advantage in shots and 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.

Seton Hill returns to conference play on Saturday at East Stroudsburg.
