Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Blanks Lock Haven, 3-0

GREENSBURG, Pa. - The Seton Hill University women's soccer team posted their fifth shutout of the year with a 3-0 victory over Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on Saturday, October 1st at Dick's Sporting Goods Field in Greensburg.

Seton Hill advances their record to 4-4-2 overall and 4-4-2 in PSAC play.  Lock Haven falls to just 3-6 overall and 2-6 in the PSAC.

Emily LoPresti got the party started when she scored her fourth goal of the year, this one from outside of the box from of a Melanie Renda short corner kick in the 32nd minute of the game. In the second half, Emma Porteous kept things going for SHU when she scored her second goal of the season in the 57th minute (Amy Lynch assist). Emma Bearinger capped off the win with a goal of her own in the 79th minute off of a Randi Selbekk assist. Bearinger's goal was also her second of the year.

For the game, Seton Hill outshot the Bald Eagles by a 14-11 margin (9-5 on-target). SHU held a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks. SHU goalkeeper Jessica Neill had five saves in all 90 minutes played. LHU's Bree Hillty grabbed six saves in the loss.

The Griffins will travel to Shippensburg, Pa. on Wednesday, October 5th to take on Shippensburg University. The match is set for 6:30 PM.
