GREENSBURG, Pa. -
Curtis Gallagher scored in the 88th minute to give the Seton Hill University men's soccer team a 2-1 win over Lock Haven in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference play on Saturday afternoon at Dick's Sporting Goods Field in Greenburg.
With the win, Seton Hill improves to 6-4 overall and 3-2 in PSAC action. The Griffins have won two straight and four out of their last five games. Lock Haven falls to 4-5-1 on the season and 2-3 in the PSAC.
After 79 minutes of scoreless play, Seton Hill's
Rory McKinnon got the Griffins on the board just seconds into the 80th minute with a header that went just over the outstretched hands of the Lock Haven goalkeeper.
Clint McElheny assisted on the goal. Zach Hommey would answer just under three minutes later for Lock Haven to even the game at 1-1. McKinnon then set up the eventual game-winner when he found
Curtis Gallagher open on the left side of the box with just under two minutes to play in regulation. Gallagher finished past the keeper for the 2-1 win.
For the game, Seton Hill outshot Lock Haven, 20-8 (12-4 on-goal). SHU led LHU in corner kicks, 10-1. Seton Hill goalkeeper
Austin Iddon grabbed three saves on the day while Troy Teresak had 10 for the Bald Eagles.
