GREENSBURG, PA. - The Seton Hill University men's basketball team defeated Cheyney University, 75-56, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action on Wednesday evening at the McKenna Center in Greensburg, PA.
With the win, SHU improves to 5-8 overall and 3-6 in the PSAC. Cheyney drops to just 2-10 on the season and 1-8 in PSAC play.
Kameron Taylor had his seventh double-double of the season, scoring 16 points on 6-of-9 from the field and grabbing a game-high 10 rebounds.
Trevor Blondin scored 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting.
Noah Davis had 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting to round out the double-digit scoring for SHU. Cheney's Juwan Mullen scored 11 points on 5-of-18 from the field.
The Griffins held Cheyney to just 19-of-75 (25.3%) from the field, including 5-of-30 (16.7%) from beyond the arc. The Wolves shot 13-of-19 (68.4%) from the free-throw line. Seton Hill connected on 30-of-54 (55.6%) from the field and 4-of-12 (33.3%) from three-point land. SHU finished the game making 11-of-21 (52.4%) from the charity stripe. Cheyney held a 21-20 advantage on the boards and had only 10 turnovers compared to 21 turnovers for Seton Hill.
Seton Hill returns to the hardwood on Saturday, January 9th when they travel to California University of Pennsylvania to take on the Vulcans. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM with Live Stats available
