Griffin Defense Stifles Cheyney, 75-56

GREENSBURG, PA. - The Seton Hill University men's basketball team defeated Cheyney University, 75-56, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action on Wednesday evening at the McKenna Center in Greensburg, PA.

With the win, SHU improves to 5-8 overall and 3-6 in the PSAC. Cheyney drops to just 2-10 on the season and 1-8 in PSAC play.

Kameron Taylor had his seventh double-double of the season, scoring 16 points on 6-of-9 from the field and grabbing a game-high 10 rebounds. Trevor Blondin scored 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting. Noah Davis had 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting to round out the double-digit scoring for SHU. Cheney's Juwan Mullen scored 11 points on 5-of-18 from the field.

The Griffins held Cheyney to just 19-of-75 (25.3%) from the field, including 5-of-30 (16.7%) from beyond the arc. The Wolves shot 13-of-19 (68.4%) from the free-throw line. Seton Hill connected on 30-of-54 (55.6%) from the field and 4-of-12 (33.3%) from three-point land. SHU finished the game making 11-of-21 (52.4%) from the charity stripe. Cheyney held a 21-20 advantage on the boards and had only 10 turnovers compared to 21 turnovers for Seton Hill.
