Noah Davis scored a career-high 33 points in Seton Hill University's 99-88 men's basketball loss to Edinboro University on Sunday afternoon inside the McKenna Center. The game was originally scheduled for January 23rd. However, due to inclement weather, the game was moved a day ahead to Sunday, January 24th.
Seton Hill has now lost two straight and three out of their last four, and now sit at 7-11 (5-9 PSAC). Edinboro improves to 11-6 (10-4 PSAC).
Edinboro shot 36-of-56 (64.3 %) from the field, including a 5-of-11 (45.5%) performance from three and 22-of-29 *75.9%) from the foul line. The Fighting Scots were led by Jaymon Mason's 36 points on 13-of-23 shooting. Tommy Scales came away with 23 points on 10-of-13 and Henri Wade-Shatman added 20 points on 6-of-11 from the floor.
SHU finished the game making 32-of-55 (58.2%) from the floor. The team was 9-of-19 (47.4%) from three-point range and 15-of-22 (68.2%) from the charity stripe. The Griffin's were led by Davis' 33 points on 12-of-15 shooting, including 5-of-6 from deep.Â
Trevor Blondin had 22 points on 8-of-16, and
Kameron Taylor chipped in 14 points in the effort. The 88 points scored was the most since their 93 points output in a loss to Shippensburg on December 5th.
Edinboro held a 30-19 advantage on the boards and dominated the paint, scoring 48 of their points inside compared to 30 for the Griffins. The Seton Hill bench outscored Edinboro's by a 33-10 margin.
The Griffins are scheduled to take on Clarion University in PSAC action on Wednesday, January 27th. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM with Live Stats being available
