Seton Hill hit the road for a contest at #8 Bloomsburg on Tuesday afternoon. The Huskies scored twice in the first half and added four more in the second half for a 6-0 win. SHU falls to 0-4 on the season while Bloomsburg improves to 4-1 on the season.
Bloomsburg got on the scoreboard quickly in the first half, scoring 1:08 into the half off a rebound. The Huskies made it 2-0 with a goal in the 18th minute. Bloomsburg took the 2-0 lead into the halftime break. Bloom outshot the Griffins in the first half 11-1.
The Griffins evened up the shots in the second half, only being outshot 11-9, but were outscored by a 4-0 margin. Bloom scored 32 seconds into the second half for a quick 3-0 lead. Ten minutes later, the Huskies made it 4-0. Bloomsburg scored the final two goals of the half for the 6-0 win.
Alexandra Piekarz recorded 10 saves in net.
The Griffins home opener will be on Saturday when they take on West Chester at 11 am.
