Box Score Old Westbury, NY- The #5 Seton Hill men's lacrosse team is upset 9-8 by #8 NYIT in a non-conference matchup on Saturday afternoon. The Griffins fall to a 9-3 overall record, yet still remain undefeated, 6-0, in ECAC play.

The NYIT Bears outscored the Griffins 4-1 in the first quarter.
Zack Rusch scored the lone Griffin goal on an unassisted play at 10:20 in the first.

Starting off the second quarter, Seton Hill rattled off three, unanswered goals with a pair from
Brian Barnes and one from
Shane Pettke that tied the game 4-4. Though the Bears answered with two more to make the score 6-4. Rusch would add his second goal of the afternoon with 2:11 remaining in the first half. Halftime score read: 6-5 NYIT Bears.

Seton Hill and NYIT went 2-2 in the third. Rusch and Barnes added one goal each giving themselves both hat tricks for the day. Again after another quarter, Seton Hill found themselves down by just one point.

The Bear's George Schultz in credited with the game-winning goal at 4:32 in the fourth quarter. Seton Hill was able to fire off two more shots in the comeback effort with less than 3 minutes to play.
Dylan Gelven was able to score one to bring the Griffins deficit to just one goal. Seton Hill fell 8-9 to the #8 NYIT Bears.

From the midfield, Barnes and Rusch led the Griffin offense with a combined 6 goals.
Erik Hultgren contributed the only assist for the afternoon.
Brady Lawrence saw 32 shots and made 8 saves while playing the entire 60 minutes for the Griffins.

The Seton Hill men's lacrosse team will play their final regular season game on Saturday, April 25 when they travel to Missouri to take on ECAC opponent Lindenwood University. Game time is set for 12 p.m.
