Box Score The Griffins continued ECAC action on Tuesday evening when they made the short trip down Interstate 70 to Wheeling. Seton Hill ran their winning streak to 3 games and won their sixth straight ECAC contest with an 11-7 victory over the Cardinals. SHU improves to 9-2 overall and 6-0 in ECAC play.
Cody Golon, the ECAC offensive player of the week, continued his hot play by scoring the first goal of the contest 2:19 into the game. The only other goal of the quarter was scored by
Shane Pettke with 1:40 to play in the quarter that gave the Griffins a 2-0 lead after one quarter of play.
Erik Hultgren scored the opening goal of the second quarter at the 1:01 mark of the half. Just over two minutes later Pettke scored his second of the contest to give the Griffins a 4-0 lead.
Marc Piche increased the Griffins lead to 5-0 with a goal with 7:03 left in the quarter. Wheeling scored the final two goals of the half and trailed 5-2 entering the halftime break.
Wheeling netted the first goal of the half to cut the SHU lead to 5-3 with 12:36 left in the quarter. Pettke recorded his third goal to end a 12 minute goalless drought for the Griffins and increase the lead back to 6-3 with 10:24 to play in quarter. The Cardinals scored the next two goals to trim the SHU lead to one goal at 6-5 with just under seven minutes to play in the quarter. Piche scored twice in the final three minutes of the third quarter to increase the SHU lead to 8-5 after three quarters of play.
The Cardinals scored less than a minute into the fourth quarter to cut the SHU lead to two at 8-6. The Griffins held that lead until the six minute mark when
Zack Rusch scored his first goal of the contest. Hultgren followed with his second of the game and SHU pushed its lead back to four. Wheeling scored with four minutes to play before Rusch put the game away with a goal with 54 seconds left.

Shane Pettke led the SHU offense with 3 goals each. Pettke also added an assist.
