The Griffins took a break from ECAC play with a trip to Rockville Centre, NY to take on #10 Molloy in a nonconference contest on Saturday afternoon.  Molloy scored the game winning goal with 22 seconds to play in the contest for a 7-6 victory.  It's the least ammount of goals scored by a Griffin team since they scored 6 goals in a 13-16 loss to NYIT on April 14, 2012.  SHU drops to 6-2 overall.

Seton Hill got on the scoreboard first, just over five minutes into the contest when Erik Hultgren scored an unassisted goal.  Molloy tied the score at one with a goal with 2:36 left in the first quarter.  SHU took a 2-1 lead with 35 seconds left in the quarter on a goal from Shane Pettke on an assist from Dylan Gelven.  The Griffins then scored the first two goals of the second quarter to take a 4-1 lead.  Zach Hartmann scored from Hultgren and 46 seconds later Pettke scored his second goal of the contest off a feed from Hartmann and SHU led 4-1 with 10:41 left in the quarter.  Molloy scored twice to cut the lead to 4-3 at the half.

Molloy scored 53 seconds apart in the third quarter to take a 5-4 lead with 6:01 to play in the quarter.  Less than a minute later, Zack Rusch scored an unassisted goal to tie the match at five with 5:04 to play in the quarter.  Rusch's goal ended a 20 minute scoring drought for the Griffins.  Rusch then gave the Griffins a 6-5 lead with another unassisted goal with 13:54 left in the fourth.  Molloy tied the score at 6 with a goal with 4:16 to play.  SHU failed to score on a late man up opportunity and Molloy took possession with less than two minutes to go in the game.  Molloy scored the game winner with 22 seconds left in the game.  Molloy then won the faceoff and ran out the clock for the win.

The Griffins were outshot 44-30 in the contest and went 0-5 on extra man opportunities.  The Griffins also committed 18 turnovers.  SHU won the ground ball (21-19) and faceoff battle (12-5).  Zack Rusch and Shane Pettke each scored two goals.  Brady Lawrence recorded 14 saves in net in the loss.
