Box Score 2 Seton Hill opened PSAC West play with a home doubleheader against Slippery Rock on Saturday afternoon. Slippery Rock took game one by a 13-5 score. The Griffins earned the split with a 5-2 win in game two. SHU is now 9-3 on the season and 1-1 in PSAC West action.
SHU took a 1-0 lead on a solo homer from
Amanda Huff in the bottom of the second inning. The Rock took a 4-1 lead in the third inning. They scored their first two runs on a 2 run homer and added two more unearned runs in the inning. The Rock added 4 more runs in the top of the fifth inning to increase their lead to 8-1. The Griffins got a run back in the bottom of the fifth. Carlee Wickstom singled and scored when
Christine Henderson doubled to drive her in. SRU added two runs in the top of the sixth to increase the lead to 10-2. SHU responded with three runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Victoria Stock had the key hit with a 2 RBI single.
Amanda Huff suffered the loss, going the distance. Huff homered in the loss and
Victoria Stock drove in two runs.

Ashley Perillo drove in three with a homer to left center field. The Rock scored one run in the top of the fourth to cut the lead to 5-1.
Christine Henderson earned the win, going the distance. She gave up 7 hits and struck out 5.
SHU will continue PSAC West play on Sunday when they host Clarion in a 2 PM doubleheader.
