Box Score 3 The Griffin softball team played a triple header on Tuesday afternoon at the Fast Pitch Dreams Tournament in Myrtle Beach, SC. SHU opened with a 7-2 win over Ohio Valley. The Griffins then defeated Ohio Valley 9-0 in 5 innings. SHU wrapped up the sweep with an 8-0 win over Robert Morris College.
In the first win over Ohio Valley,
Amanda Huff was the winning pitcher, giving up 5 hits and striking out five.
Kaitlyn Kutchman was 3-4 with 2 doubles a triple and 5 RBI.
Carlee Wickstrom was 3-4 as well and
Christine Henderson was 2-4 with a triple and 2 RBI.
SHU then defeated Ohio Valley 9-0 in 5 innings.
Hope Pehrson earned the win in the circle. Kutchman was 3-3 with 6 RBI.
Caitlin Tobin was also 3-3.
Victoria Stock was 2-3 with a homer and Wickstrom was also 2-3.
Kutchman then threw a no hitter in the 8-0 win over Robert Morris College. Henderson was 2-3 with a triple.
Paige Hertzog and
Ashley Perillo were also 2-3.
Jacqui Palmer was 2-2 with 2 RBI.
SHU will play a doubleheader with Union College on Wednesday.
