Box Score Seton Hill took a break from PSAC West play for a matchup at Penn State Fayette on Wednesday evening. All 12 Griffins got into the scoring column as the Griffins rolled to a 93-37 victory. SHU improves to 11-13 overall.
The Griffin starters pitched a shutout over the first four minutes of the half as they jumped out to an 18-0 lead.
Kelly Brennan and
Mariah Wells each scored 5 points for the Griffins during the first four minutes of the half. Fayette cut the Griffin lead to 24-12 with 9:28 to play in the half. Brennan hit back to back threes to key an 8-0 run for the Griffins as they increased their lead to 32-12. SHU closed out the half on a 10-0 run to take a 47-19 lead into the locker room at the halftime break.
Seton Hill went on a 12-0 run to extend their lead to 62-23 with just under 13 minutes to play in the second half.
Alexandria Deep scored seven points as the Griffins were able to add onto their lead with a 13-1 run late in the contest.
Kelly Brennan again led the Griffins with 16 points in just 18 minutes of action. Brennan hit 4 three pointers.
Jenna Kaufman and
Mariah Wells added 12 points.
Alexandria Deep was the other Griffin in double figures with 11 points.
Meghan Mastroianni and Alexandria Hay each just missed double figures with 9 points. Mastroianni had a team high 6 assists and 4 steals.
Halie Torris had a game high 11 rebounds and
Jessica Slagus finished with 7 rebounds.
The Griffins will return to PSAC West action on Saturday when they travel to Slippery Rock for a big game with playoff implications.
