CLARION, PA. - Seton Hill University stumbled on the road to Clarion University, 73-50, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference women's basketball action on Wednesday, December 16th.
The loss drops the Griffins to 5-6 overall and 2-4 in the PSAC. Clarion improves to 4-8 overall and 4-3 in PSAC play.
The Griffins were led by
Lindsey Mifsud's 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting and 4-of-6 from three.
Mariah Wells had 10 points on 4-of-9 from the floor to round out the double-digit scoring. Wells also grabbed seven rebounds.
Delrika Jones-Carey scored a game-high 24 points on 12-of-16 shooting for the Golden Eagles. Tania Holmes had 23 points, Jordan Bekelja scored 11, and Tyra Polite had 10 points. Holmes and Polite grabbed 10 rebounds apiece.
Seton Hill struggled from the floor, shooting just 39.2% (20-for-51). The Griffins hit on 9-of-21 three-point shots. Clarion connected on 31-of-67 shots for 46.3% and hit 7-of-17 shots from beyond the arc.
