Seton Hill completed their two game weekend road trip with a night game at Lock Haven on Saturday evening. The game featured 7 goals with the Griffins getting the last one, a game winner with 1:24 to play in the game, for a wild 4-3 victory. SHU improves to 5-5-1 overall and 4-5-1 in PSAC play.
The Griffins did not waste much time getting on the scoreboard in the contest as they scored 8:18 into the game.
Emma Bearinger put the Griffins up 1-0 when she took a pass from
Breanna Novosel and put it in the upper 90 at the far post for a 1-0 lead. Seton Hill made it 2-0 in the 22nd minute.
Emily LoPresti scored her first goal of the game when she ran onto a long pass from
Brooke Richtik and went far post to beat the LHU keeper. Lock Haven cut the lead in half in the 36th minute with a goal. Lock Haven held a 6-4 advantage in shots in the first half.
Emily LoPresti scored her second goal of the game in the 54th minute of the contest. She headed in a ball off a free kick from
Brooke Richtik to the far post to give SHU a 3-1 lead. Less than five minutes later, Lock Haven trimmed the lead to 3-2 with a goal. The Bald Eagles tied the score at three with less than four minutes to play in regulation on a penalty kick goal. The Griffins then won the game with a goal with 1:24 to play when
Alex McIntosh volleyed in a free kick from Richtik to give SHU a 4-3 lead.
Emily LoPresti finished the contest with two goals while
Brooke Richtik added 3 assists.
Jessica Neill recorded 2 saves in net.
SHU will host Shippensburg on Wednesday afternoon at 1 PM.
