MILLERSVILLE, Pa. -
Megan Warman (So., Anaheim, CA) scored the go-ahead goal in the 69th minute as the Seton Hill University women's soccer team rebounded from a disappointing overtime loss earlier in the week to upend Millersville University, 3-1, on Saturday at Pucillo Field in Millersville, Pa.
Seton Hill moves to 7-8-1 (5-8-1 PSAC) on the year while Millersville falls to 5-10 (4-10 PSAC).
Freshman forward
Emily LoPresti (Petrolia, PA) got the offense started with a goal in the 41st minute on a
Emma Porteous (So., Midlothian, Scotland) assist. Millersville's Alexandrea Powell got the home team on the board with a goal in the 50th minute.
Megan Warman scored the go-ahead goal in the 69th off of a
Madison Schwerzler (Fr., McMurray, PA) assist, and
Emma Bearinger (So., Jackson, MI) put the put the game out of reach with an unassisted goal of her own in the 83rd.
For the game, Seton Hill outshot Millersville by a 19-14 margin and held a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Carolin Edenhofner (Munich, Germany) grabbed six (6) saves in the win and is now 4-7-1 on the year. Samantha Wolfe had eight (8) saves in goal for the Marauders.
The Griffins return home on Tuesday, October 27th to take on Slipper Rock University at Dick's Sporting Goods Field before traveling to West Chester (PA) on Saturday, October 31st to finish out the 2015 regular season.
