WSOC: SHU Suffers Heartbreaking Double OT Loss To East Stroudsburg

GREENSBURG, Pa. - The Seton Hill University women's soccer team conceded a goal just moments into the start of the second overtime to drop a heartbreaking 1-0 decision to East Stroudsburg Saturday afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action at Dick's Sporting Goods Field.

With the loss, Seton Hill falls to 6-7-1 overall and 4-7-1 in the PSAC. East Stroudsburg moves to 7-5-1 and 7-5-1 in the PSAC.

Both teams had offensive chances throughout the match under near freezing and windy conditions. SHU goalkeepr Carolin Edenhofner stood tall with seven fantastic saves and keeping the match scoreless until the 100th minute.

For the match, ESU outshot Seton Hill, 20-12. The Warriors also held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Before the game, Seton Hill honored seniors Carolin Edenhofner, Dymphena Clark, Hanna Marks, Paula Florez, Alex McIntosh, and Breanna Novosel.

The Griffins will next travel to Indiana, PA to take on Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Wednesday, October 21st. That game is set for a 4:00 PM start.
