GREENSBURG, Pa. - The Seton Hill University men's soccer team scored first fell to East Stroudsburg, 2-1, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Dick's Sporting Goods Field.
The loss drops SHU to 4-9-1 (4-5-0 PSAC). With the win, ESU improves to 6-7-1 (3-5-1 PSAC).
Seton Hill struck first when
Joe Smith's pass led
Tom Urquhart to an open net and his second goal on the season just before halftime in the 41st minute and gave SHU a 1-0 advantage. However, Casey Choffy's goal in the 61st minute tied the game at 1-1 and Jonathan Stuppe's goal in the 72nd minute put the Warriors in the lead for good.
For the match, SHU outshot ESU by a 21-11 margin and held a 10-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Cameron Evans fell to 3-7-1 on the season, registering five saves while playing all 90:00 in the net for Seton Hill. Will Boerma grabbed seven saves for ESU.
