Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

MSOC: Watson's Late Goal Lifts Griffins Over Gannon, 1-0.

GREENSBURG, Pa. - Sophomore Colin Watson (Lancashire, Great Britain) netted the game-winning goal in the 73rd minute to lead Seton Hill University to a 1-0 win over Gannon University in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference men's soccer action Saturday afternoon at Dick's Sporting Goods Field in Greensburg, Pa.

The Griffins are now 4-7-1 overall and 2-4-0 in the PSAC while Gannon drops to 3-7-0 and 2-5-0 in PSAC play.

After a scoreless first half, it looked as if the two teams were destined for extra time. However, sophomore Zach Vought made a move on the outskirts of the box only to find Watson ready and waiting to drive home the game-winner.

For the game, Gannon held leads in shots (13-9) and corner kicks (10-2). Watson and Curtis Gallagher (Lancashire, Great Britain) finished with two shots apiece while Seon Ripley (West Yorkshire, Great Britain), Louis Mason (Dereham, Norfolk), Scott Fox (Greensburg, PA), Harry Beattie (Sandbach, PA), and Tom Urquhart (Lancashire, Great Britain) all tallied shots in the win. Senior goalkeeper Cameron Evans (Bedfordshire, Great Britain) grabbed six saves in the win for SHU while Jorge Hernandez had four for the Golden Knights.

Seton Hill returns to action on Tuesday, October 13th when they travel to Old Westbury, NY to take on the New York Institute of Technology. Live stats for the 2:00 PM kickoff can be found HERE.
