Griffins Weathered by Storm 18-13

Greensburg, PA- The Seton Hill Men's Lacrosse team drops their first ECAC contest of the season as their two game win streak is snapped by Lake Erie College 18-13. Lake Erie improves to a 5-3 overall record and 4-0 in ECAC play. The Griffins Drop to 6-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
 
Lefebvre scored the first goal of the contest on a man-up opportunity to give the Griffins the lead 1-0 with 13:18 left to play in the first. Lake Erie would advance six consecutive goals to lead the first quarter 6-3. Trying to climb back on top, the Griffins would trail the Storm 10-7 at halftime.
 
Despite five straight goals for the Griffins to start the second half and to take the lead 12-10. The Seton Hill defense could not stop the fast paced Lake Erie midfield play. With the Griffins tied at 12 to start the final quarter. Dylan Lefebvre scores on the door step on an extra-man opportunity to give SHU the lead 13-12.
 
The Storm's Andrew Stockton converted on an extra-man up opportunity to tie the game at 13 in the fourth quarter. Lake Erie then went on to score five straight goals earn their fourth ECAC victory.
 
Midfielder Dylan Gelven and attackman Dylan Lefebvre both contribute 4 goals and a combine for 11 points for the Griffin offense Sunday afternoon.
 
Midfielder and Faceoff man Jimmy Cogley had his share of success from the "X" going 15-25 on draws and added 11 groundballs. Turing draws into Griffin offense, he also contributed 2 goals and 1 assist.

Seton Hill still has four more ECAC match ups before the ECAC Tournament in May. The games are against Walsh, Wheeling Jesuit, Alderson Broaddus, and Lindenwood.

The Griffins will travel on Wednesday April 9 to North Canton, Ohio to take on Walsh University. Faceoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
