Box Score 2 Seton Hill hosted Gannon in a PSAC West doubleheader on Sunday afternoon to finish a game started earlier in the week and then finish the second game of the doubleheader. Gannon took game one of the doubleheader with a 12-1 win in 5 innings. Gannon completed the sweep with a 4-2 win in game two. SHU falls to 20-20 overall and 10-18 in PSAC West play.
Gannon jumped on the board with a two run shot to center in the top of the first inning. The Knights added two more runs in the top of the second and another in the third to increase their lead to 5-0. Gannon then put a 7 spot on the board in the fifth to increase the lead to 12-0 and end the game. SHU got a run in the bottom of the fifth.
Hope Pehrson led off with a single.
Kristina Torretti was hit by a pitch.
Ashley Sample then singled to load the bases. Pehrson then scored on a fielder's choiceby
Abbey Suhoski.
The Griffins got on the scoreboard first in game two.
Amanda Huff singled after one out and scored when
Jacqui Palmer homered to center field. Gannon scored a run in the top of the third to cut the lead to 2-1. Gannon took the lead with 3 runs in the top of the sixth. SHU loaded the bases with no outs in the sixth but failed to score. Palmer led the Griffins with two hits.
