SHU Earns a 15-10 Victory Over #14 West Chester

Greensburg, PA- The Seton Hill Women's Lacrosse team earned a 15-10 victory over #14 West Chester University (7-4, 4-4 PSAC) on Saturday afternoon at Dick's Sporting Goods Field. Emma Simmers and Emily Fagan leading the way with combined 9 goals and 3 assists.
 
The first half went the Griffins way. Seton Hill outscored their opponents 9-2 by halftime. Simmers and Fagan both with hat tricks and Palmeri added 2 assists.
 
Hannah started the scoring for the Golden Rams in the second half. Cowan had 5 goals for West Chester on the day.
 
At 27:17 Rachel Hilbert scores the tenth Griffin goal. Next Griffin offensive possession, at 24:26 Fagan scores her fourth goal assisted by Emma Simmers.
 
On a Man-up opportunity West Chester scored to make the score 12-4 with 21:26 to play. Again next possession the Griffins answer by a goal from Alessandra Nicholas assisted by Rachel Hilbert.
 
West Chester and Seton Hill trade goals again, Emma Simmers scored her fourth. West Chester scores two at 12:37 and 9:03 to make the score 13-7. Emma Simmers scores her fifth with 7:00 to go in the game taking advantage of a West Chester turnover and yellow card.
 
Cowan scores to make the score 14-8 but Morgan Cain scores one in transition 30 seconds later for her second goal of the day to make the score 15-8.
 
At 1:44 and 1:21 West Chester adds two more but not enough to compensate for a first half collapse. The Griffins won 15-10, starting goalkeeper Megan Hollar will earn her seventh win of the season.
 
Hollar added 11 saves, 2 caused turnovers, and 4 ground balls to the Seton Hill Victory. Hilbert and Simmers combined for 9 draw controls.
