Griffins Drop Decision to Lock Haven 15-7

Lock Haven, PA- The Seton Hill Women's Lacrosse team drops to 7-3 overall and 2-3 in PSAC play with today's loss on the road at Lock Haven University, 15-7.
 
The Griffins found themselves down by a goal in the first minute of play and was quick to tie it back up with a goal from Emily Fagen. Seton Hill would find themselves trailing the rest of the game, fighting to get back on top.
 
Lock Haven scored 4 straight goals to lead 5-1. Emma Simmers scored 2 in a row and Renee Kania assisted both. 5-3 Lock Haven's lead and they pulled away again with 2 goals of their own to make the score 7-3. With 1:57 left to play in the first half, Simmers will score her third goal of the day to conclude the 1st half scoring. Lock Haven held the lead at half 7-4.
 
The momentum at the start of the 2nd half favored Lock Haven as they scored another 4 goal scoring run to give the Bald Eagles a 7 goal lead, 11-4. Back and forth scoring would determine the rest of the game. Seton Hill goals from Emily Fagan, Morgan Cain, and Elizabeth Otwell at the end of the 2nd half were not enough for the Griffins. The final score Lock Haven 15, Seton Hill 7.

Freshman goalkeeper, Meghan Hollar, had herself a great weekend in cage. She racked up a career best 15 saves against Shippensburg University on Friday and today had 14 saves against Lock Haven, saving a total of 29 shots in two days.
 
The Griffins will play on the road at Mercyhurst University (6-1, 2-0 PSAC) Tuesday, April 5 at 1 PM.
