Seton Hill closed out the Shaw University Tournament with two contests on Sunday.  The Griffins swept both of those contests to improve to 4-1 on the season.  SHU defeated former WVIAC foe Concord 10-5 to open the day before defeating Bowie State 12-4 to close out the day. 

SHU jumped on Concord for three runs in the top of the first.  Carlee Wickstrom singled in Dani Treaster to give the Griffins a 1-0 lead.  Stefanie Wiegand then doubled in two to push the lead to 3-0.  Christine Henderson made it 4-0 with an RBI groundout.  Wickstrom then singled in two more to give SHU a 6-0 advantage after one and a half innings.  Concord then scored 4 in the bottom of the fifth to cut the lead to 6-4.  Wickstrom then hit a three run homer in the sixth to extend the lead back to 9-4.  Jacqui Palmer singled in the Griffins final run in the seventh.  Amanda Huff went 4 innings to earn the win.  Treaster and Wickstrom each had 3 hits with Wickstrom driving in 6 runs.  Abbey Suhoski, Lauren Sauerwein and Palmer added two hits. 

Christine Henderson came in relief and threw four innings to earn the win over Bowie State.  She struck out 7 hitters in her four innings.  Lauren Sauerwein went 3-5 and hit her second homer of the season.  Amanda Huff also added 3 hits.  Carlee Wickstrom, Kaitlyn Kutchman, Henderson and Jacqui Palmer each had two hits. 

The team will be off until March 10th when they travel to Fayetteville State.
