Griffins Earn 12-6 Road Win Over Lindenwood

On Friday night the Griffins traveled to Lindenwood University to take on the Lions. Seton Hill earned a hard fought 12-6 victory on the road. With the win the Griffins record improves to 10-1 overall.
 
In the first quarter the Griffins got off to a good start with a goal from Kevin Cala assisted by Taylor Mansfield just two minutes into play taking a 1-0 lead. During the remainder of the quarter neither team managed to find the back of the net. However that was not the case during the second quarter. At the 13:02 mark the Griffins struck again this time with a goal from Mansfield assisted by Matt Delmonico to take a 2-0 lead. The Lions retailed scoring the next 4 goals to take to lead back 4-2 with 4:24 remaining. A goal from Jack Miller and Dylan Lefebrve tied the game up 4-4 with 2:27 on the clock. The lions managed to put one more shot past the keeper in the final minute to enter halftime leading the Griffins 5-4.
 
To start the third quarter Delmonico and Miller scored their second goals of the game to snatch the lead back 6-5 at the 8:08 mark. Two minutes later the Lions tied it up 6-6. Seton Hill's defense and offense then took over. The Griffins scored the final six goals of the contest, including running up the score with three tallies in the final two minutes to earn a 12-6 victory.
 
Dylan Lefebrve led the Griffin offense scoring 5 goals. Jack Miller and Taylor Mansfield both added 2 goals a piece. While Matt Delmonico, James Delaney, and Kevin Cala all chipped in 1 goal. In the net for the Griffins Chris Ilse recored 18 saves. The Griffins will match up against Colorado Mesa University next on Sunday TBA.
