The Griffins used a 12-0 run over a 27 minute period from late in the first half to the middle of the second half to record a 16-7 victory at Shippensburg on Saturday afternoon. Seton Hill improves to 2-1 on the season.
Alessandra Nicholas gave the Griffins a 1-0 lead off a feed from
Morgan Cain just 1:22 into the contest. Ship responded with a goal three minutes later. Cain gave the Griffins a 2-1 lead off a pass from
Emily Fagan. Ship then scored three straight to take a 4-2 lead with 12:53 to play in the half. That's when the Griffins kicked it into gear, scoring the next 12 goals of the contest. SHU scored the final six goals of the half to take a 8-4 lead into the half.
Rachel Hilbert scored two of the six goals.
The Griffin run continued in the second half as they scored the first six goals of the half to take a 14-4 lead with 13:47 to play in the half. Fagan scored three goals and added an assist during the 6-0 run.
Renee Kania and Cain closed out the scoring for the Griffins.
