Box Score

The women's lacrosse team battled the Lady Cards from Wheeling Jesuit on Wednesday evening at Bethany College.  The Griffins jumped out to a 11-2 halftime lead and never looked back, rolling to a 17-5 victory.  With the win, the team improves to 3-1 on the season. 

Seton Hill scored the first 7 goals of the contest over a 10 minute span and led 7-0 with 16:29 to play in the first half.  Elizabeth Otwell and Alessandra Nicholas each scored twice during the run.  Wheeling scored the next two goals before the Griffins closed out the half with 4 goals to enter halftime with a 11-2 lead. 

The Griffins scored the first four goals of the second half to take a 15-2 lead with 20 minutes remaining in the contest.  Morgan Cain scored twice during the 4-0 run.  Wheeling was able to score 3 of the last five goals of the game to close out the scoring.

Elizabeth Otwell and Alessandra Nicholas led the Griffins with 4 goals each.  Morgan Cain added 3 goals and 2 assists.  Emma Simmers and Emily Fagan each scored twice.  Simmers added 3 assists and Fagan added 2.  Kaitlyn Flaskerud recorded 3 saves in the net for the win.

SHU will travel to Millersville on Saturday for a 1 PM start.
