Griffin Men Earn 82-58 Road Victory

Seton Hill got back into the victory column following a 82-58 road win at Bluefield State on Saturday afternoon. The Griffins ended a two game losing streak with the win.  SHU improves to 7-6 overall and 4-5 in WVIAC play, good for 10th place in the league standings. 

Oliver McGlade opened up the scoring by draining a three pointer to give the Griffins a quick 3-0 lead.  Bluefield State answered right back with 5 points in a row to take a 2 point lead.  The next few minutes remained tight with BSC holding a 13-9 lead with just under five minutes played in the contest.  Nate Perry closed a 13-2 Griffin run with 5 straight points to give SHU a 22-15 lead with 11:07 left.  BSC scored 4 straight before the Griffins offense exploded and took control of the game with a 14-0 run over 4 minutes to push the lead to 36-19.  Seton Hill led by as many as 21 in the first half before settling for a 46-33 halftime lead. 

The Griffins continued to control play in the second half and never led by less than 13 points and were able to extend their lead to 28 points in securing the 82-58 victory.

Nate Perry scored a game high 20 points to lead the Griffins.  Kameron Taylor finished with 17 points and 8 rebounds.  Malachi Leonard added 15 points and 7 rebounds.  Max Kenyi scored 12 points and Tuff Barnes was the fifth Griffin in double figures with 10 points.

Seton Hill will look to make it two in a row when they travel to Shepherd on Thursday for a 7:30 PM start.
