The Griffins tennis team picked up their first victory of the season on Saturday afternoon when they defeated WV Wesleyan by the score of 6-3. Seton Hill improves to 1-3 on the season. The team jumped out to a 2-1 advantage after the doubles matches. The number one doubles team of

Faith Finoli won their match by a 8-2 score . The doubles team of
Lauren Duffy/
Rebecca Cenkner won their match 8-4. Hudak made quick work at the number one singles spot defeating her opponent 6-0, 6-1. Finoli also won at singles by winning two tiebreakers. Faith won her match by a 7-6 (9-7), 7-6 (7-3) score. Cenkner played a strong match at the net and took her singles match by a 7-6 (7-2), 6-1 score.
Chelsea Pence recorded her first collegiate win by rallying in the second set tiebreaker to end the match. Pence won her singles match, 6-3, 7-6 (11-9). Seton Hill will return to the court when they battle Alderson Broaddus on Monday.
