Seton Hill Names Jennifer Patrick-Swift Head Softball Coach

Seton Hill University President JoAnne Boyle has announced the hiring of Jennifer Patrick-Swift as the school?s new Softball Coach.

Patrick-Swift brings ten years of collegiate softball playing and coaching experience to the Seton Hill bench. Most recently, she was an assistant coach at Millersville University during the 2010 season.

After starring at Northern Cambria High School, she was a four-year starter at first base for Methodist University in Fayetteville, N.C., earning First Team All-Dixie/USA South Conference and Second Team All-Atlantic South Region honors as a junior and senior. A standout player, Patrick-Swift still holds career records at the school for triples (21), total bases (304), and putouts (1,159). She also ranks amongst the top-five in many of Methodist's career offensive categories.

Patrick-Swift started her coaching career in 2005 when she was hired as the assistant coach at Washington & Jefferson College. After a year at Washington & Jefferson, Jennifer earned her first head coaching job as she took over at Division II Chowan University in Murfreesboro, NC. She led the Hawks to a 19-win season in her rookie season despite a short bench that saw only 11 players see action.

After a year in North Carolina, Patrick-Swift found herself back in the Keystone state for the 2008 and 2009 seasons. As skipper of the York College program, Patrick-Swift led the Spartans into the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III Top 25 for the first time in school history. Her teams compiled a 57-26 record over two seasons and the 2009 squad set a program benchmark with 30 wins.
