Chris Snyder

Chris Snyder is beginning his twenty first season as Athletic Director at Seton Hill. 
 
Snyder was named the school’s first head football coach in addition to Executive Athletic Director in March of 2004.  Snyder led the football program for three seasons before stepping down to assume a full time role as the school’s Athletic Director. 
 
Snyder was an integral part of the athletic department’s move from the NAIA to NCAA Divison II and then the school’s move from the WVIAC to the PSAC. 
 
While at Seton Hill, Snyder has overseen a major growth in facilities from the time he stepped onto campus.  The school now features two full turf fields along with a turf baseball and turf softball facility. 
 
He has also served as tournament director for the PSAC Volleyball and Women's Lacrosse Championships along with the ECAC and G-MAC Men’s Lacrosse Championships.
 
Under Snyder’s direction, the Griffins have won multiple conference regular season and postseason championships.  Seton Hill teams have advanced to numerous NCAA Tournaments.  Athletes and teams have won numerous postseason honors including All Conference, All Region, All American and Academic All American honors.  The athletic department has won the PSAC Top GPA award five times in the past seven years. 
 
He is currently a member of the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Advisory Committee for football and the Division II Infractions Appeals Committee.  Snyder was the PSAC liaison for football along with being chair of the Executive Committee for the PSAC.  He was a member of the NCAA Division II Membership Committee. Snyder has previously served as a member of the NCAA Super Region I Regional Advisory Committee for football, NCAA Atlantic Regional Advisory Committee for men's soccer, and served as an NCAA site representative for both football and wrestling.
 
Prior to Seton Hill, Snyder spent eleven seasons at Bethany College as a football coach, the final two as head coach.  Before Bethany, Snyder was offensive line coach at Marietta College for two seasons and spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Alfred University.
 
Snyder is a graduate of Randolph Macon College where he earned a Bachelors Degree in History and a graduate of Alfred University where he earned a Masters Degree in Education.
