Tori Rizzo

Tori Rizzo joins the Seton Hill coaching staff for her first season in the 2025-26 basketball season.  

Rizzo has a strong connection to the PSAC after being a three year starter and two year captain at PSAC West foe Pitt Johnstown.  While at Pitt Johnstown, Rizzo averaged over eight points per game.  She finished her four year career with 280 rebounds and 123 made three pointers. 

After her playing career ended, Rizzo spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Detroit Mercy before returning to her alma mater for one season as an assistant at Pitt Johnstown.  As an assistant, Tori helped the Mountain Cats to their first victory in the PSAC postseason and three victories over teams in the top 25.  

Before coming to Seton Hill, Rizzo has spent the past three season at Walsh University as an assistant coach.  While at Walsh, she specialized in recruiting and developing talent, including standout freshman Izzy Callaway, who averaged 14.2 points as a true freshman and was selected as All-Conference 2nd Team.

A graduate of New Philadelphia High School in Ohio, Rizzo was named the Ohio District 6 Player of the Year after her senior season.  Tori helped the team to a 23-2 record in 2014-15 and a spot in Ohio’s Regional Semifinals.  Rizzo was a first team All ECOL selection as a senior and played in both the North-South and East-West All Star games.  Along with being a four year letter winner in basketball, Tori was also a four year letter winner in soccer. 

Coach Rizzo is currently a member of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and has attended the NCAA Women's Basketball Final Four Convention. Coach Rizzo believes in fostering a team environment built on trust, hard work, and continuous improvement. She emphasizes the importance of both mental and physical preparation, encouraging her players to develop resilience and a strong work ethic. Her approach is centered on developing well-rounded athletes who excel both on and off the court.

Rizzo holds a degree in Secondary Education Mathematics from University of Pittsburgh Johnstown and a Masters in Business Administration from University of Detroit Mercy.
