Megan Smith MS, LAT, ATC, PES

Megan Smith joined Seton Hill University’s athletic training department in 2016. Smith enters her fourth year as athletic trainer for football and women’s lacrosse. This will be Smith’s first year as athletic trainer for men’s and women’s track & field.

While working with the Griffins, Smith earned her Master of Science degree in Exercise Science & Health Promotion, with a concentration in Performance Enhancement & Injury Prevention, through California University of Pennsylvania in 2019. Smith earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015. During her undergraduate years, Smith assisted Pitt gymnastics, men’s basketball, and football, as well as two Pittsburgh-area high schools.

Smith recently received the 2019 Drug Free Sport International Continuing Education Award. As an undergraduate student at the University of Pittsburgh, Smith was named recipient of the Dr. Freddie Fu Undergraduate Athletic Training Scholarship and inaugural recipient of the Jill Conley Memorial Award.

Smith is a certified Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and certified Speed Specialist through the National Association of Speed and Explosion.


Smith resides in her hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
