Jesse Salazar begins his first season on the Seton Hill coaching staff in 2026. He will serve as the Griffins’ Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks coach. Salazar brings experience from the high school, junior college, Division II, and Division l levels, including most notably a stop at the University of Oregon.
Prior to Seton Hill, Salazar served as Run Game Coordinator, Offensive Line Coach, and Recruiting Coordinator at East Central University. During his season with the Tigers, East
Central improved in every major offensive statistical category from the previous year, defeated a ranked #12 Ouachita Baptist team for the first time in 13 years, earned a bowl appearance, and produced the most All-Conference offensive players in the Great American Conference.
Before East Central, Salazar served as an Offensive Assistant at the University of Oregon, working with the offensive line, tight ends, and running backs with a focus on run-game
development. The Ducks captured the 2024 Big Ten Championship, finished the regular season 13-0 as the nation’s No. 1-ranked team, earned a Rose Bowl appearance, and set a school record for most NFL selections in a single year with 10 players drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Earlier in 2024, Salazar served as Co-Offensive Coordinator, Offensive Line Coach, and Recruiting Coordinator at Southwestern College. During his tenure, he helped rebuild the
Jaguars’ roster from 25 returning players to a signing class of more than 115 student-athletes while helping the program earn a national junior college ranking.
Salazar spent two seasons as Tight Ends Coach at Quincy University from 2022-23. During his tenure, the Hawks produced their first winning season in a decade while ranking among the nation’s top offenses. Quincy finished 12th nationally in passing offense in 2022 before leading the Great Lakes Valley Conference in rushing offense in 2023. Salazar’s first season, he mentored Quincy’s first All-Conference tight end in 5 years and had All-Conference tight ends in each of his two seasons as well as helped the program establish a school record by averaging 38.5 points per game during the 2023 campaign.
Salazar began his coaching career at Ramona High School in San Diego, California before becoming Offensive Coordinator at Poway High School. Across five high school seasons, his teams captured four league championships, posted two undefeated regular seasons, advanced to multiple CIF playoff appearances, including a CIF Championship, and established numerous school offensive records while developing several collegiate football players.
