Anthony Fanelli returns for his second season as the Griffins hitting coach. Fanelli capped his career in 2016 with first team All PSAC honors. In 58 games as a senior, Fanelli hit .356 with 17 doubles, 8 home runs and 43 RBI. He was also selected as a second team All-Region catcher by the NCBWA and D2CCA. The Hempfield high school graduate started 137 games during his four year career. He held a career average of .342 with 29 doubles, 11 home runs and 81 RBI. He walked 64 times to just 56 strikeouts.
Fanelli will instruct the catchers and handle recruiting duties in Ohio and Western PA as he works towards his masters degree in business administration.
